The beginning
From workshop to timber construction company
In 1982, brothers Philipp and Martin Camathias founded the company Frars Camathias. They carried out carpentry and joinery work in a small workshop in the village centre on the Crest. Demand grew, new employees joined the company, but space quickly became too cramped. In 1986, an additional workshop was built, which was soon also working at full capacity.
Steady growth
Construction of the carpentry workshop
In 1993, the brothers divided the business. Philipp continued to run the joinery at its original location, while Martin established the carpentry firm Lennaria Camathias SA in the Laax-Pardanal industrial zone. The company grew steadily thanks to large construction contracts, technical developments and modern machinery. The number of employees increased, as did production capacity.
innovations
Expansion and specialisation
The next step followed in 2009 with the construction of an additional production hall and new office space. This enabled Camathias SA to work more economically in element construction and prefabrication. The introduction of modern CNC technology and digital planning systems enabled precise, efficient manufacturing for projects in the residential, commercial and public sectors.
